PalmOne Centro Mobile Phone
With quite a bit of hype about the Palm Centro, codenamed Gryphon, expectations are high, so we had a deeper look into its spec to decide for ourselves, and here's what we found.
Although the Palm Centro comes with a full Qwerty keyboard on the plus side, on the downside its pretty tiny as Qwerty's go.
So we started looking for some major pluses and happily we find quite a few.
The Palm Centro is aimed at a much younger crowd, featuring a slimmer design and lower price tag.
The handset offers a fully equipped touchscreen, which is much larger than predecessing palm's and of course the Qwerty keyboard.
A 3G device, the Palm Centro is available in two colour variants, Onyx and Ruby, which makes a change from the normal dull colour range available on most Palm's.
On board there's a 1.3 mega pixel camera, Music Player and microSD card expansion.
Continuing on from the Treo and its abilities, the Palm Centro has followed suit as a Quad Band GSM device with GPRS, EDGE and Bluetooth Wireless Technology.
Using Windows Mobile 5.4.9, the Centro is the smallest Palm OS smartphone to date, leading the competition to new levels.
