O2 XDA Star Smartphone
Meet the O2 version of the HTC Touch Dual, the O2 XDA Star, aka HTC Nike.
Although the design is very different, the specification of this handset is the same as the HTC Touch Dual.
A Quad Band GSM device with UMTS/HSDPA, 3G Services and EDGE Technology, the O2 XDA Star is very much a well equipped smartphone.
It sports a 2 mega pixel primary camera, front mounted secondary camera for video calling, video record and an MP3 Player which supports ACC audio file formats.
Running Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional with Pocket Office and powered by a 400Mhz Qualcomm processor, the XDA Star lends itself as a powerful business tool.
The 2.6 inch QVGA flat touchscreen enhances web browsing and makes documents, text messages and emails far easier to read and reply to.
A 3G slider version of the O2 XDA Nova (HTC Touch), the O2 XDA Star is really only missing one major feature, WiFi and unlike the HTC Touch Dual which comes with either a 12 key numerical keypad or 20 key Qwerty keyboard, depending on country and operator, the O2 XDA Star is fitted with the Qwerty Keyboard version which is reassuring.
Additional features of the O2 XDA Star that we haven't yet mentioned are Bluetooth Wireless Technology v2.0, TouchFlo finger swipe navigation technology, handwriting recognition, 96MB of internal memory expandable via the microSD card slot, miniUSB connecitivity and built-in handsfree.
