O2 XDA Nova / HTC Touch Smartphone
Released as the HTC Touch and codenamed HTC Elf, the HTC Touch is available on T-Mobile as the T-Mobile MDA Touch and O2 as the O2 XDA Nova.
A smartphone running Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional operating system, the O2 XDA Nova is powdered by a 201 Mhz processor and provides ample storage capacitiy with 64MB of memory and 1GB card included.
Multimedia features include a 2.0 mega pixel camera, video capture & playback, MP3 player and plus secondary applications such as Pocket Office, Web browser and email access.
As with most Pocket PC's, standard features now include GSM / GPRS / EDGE / WiFi and Bluetooth, however there is a very unique feature available with this device that is well worth a mention and is one of the first handsets to be able to boast its inclusion.
Touchscreens with handwriting recognition are at the top of the list of must have's for the average PDA and Pocket PC but with the addition of TouchFlo swip navigation technology engineered into the design of the O2 XDA Nova, the touchscreen can be used with or without the stylus.
With doesn't sound that exciting but with this enhanced technology it is possible to control the movement of 3D images by literally sweeping the fingertip across the screen and just to prove how clever it really is there's no need to swap between stylus and non-stylus modes manually as the O2 device with the help of a 3D interface will automatically determine which mode is required.
Pretty clever really!
