I-Mate JAMA 201 Smartphone
With the I-Mate JAMA not having hit the big time, I-Mate went back to the drawing board and as a result have implemented some impressive design changes to the original spec.
This has resulted in two new handsets being released, the I-Mate JAMA 101 and the I-Mate JAMA 201.
Both are Windows Mobile 6.0 smartphones powered by a Samsung 300Mhz processor.
The I-Mate JAMA 201 includes Tri Band GSM support with EDGE technology, Stereo Bluetooth and miniUSB connectivity.
The Windows Media Player 10 and 2 mega pixel camera remain unchanged but the camera now includes autofocus and a built-in flash for snapping both photo's and recording video.
The main difference between the I-Mate JAMA 101 and the I-Mate JAMA 201 is the screen and keypad.
Whilst the IMate Jama 101 sports a numerical keypad with a 2.4 inch touchscreen, the IMate Jama 201 has the added advantage of a full Qwerty keyboard and a 2.5 inch linear LCD screen with VGA display resolution.
The I-Mate Jama 201 is also based on the Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard operating system, whereas the I-Mate Jama 101 runs on the Professional version.
But other than that there really isn't much in it between these two devices it just really depends on whether you favour a Qwerty keyboard structure or not.
