HTC Shift Ultra Mobile PC
Sharing many qualities and design aspects to that of the HTC Advantage, the HTC shift does however offer one major difference and that is that it is a PC which runs Windows Vista. Combining the power of the Windows Vista Business package with that of the 3G connectivity makes the HTC Shift an extremely promising device. Its 7inch widescreen display which as one would hope and expect is touch sensitive, the HTC Shift has the ability to push the boundaries of the common day smartphone and hence exceed our current expections from a device of this caliber. The Qwerty keyboard makes for easier texting and typing whilst the lightweight size of the HTC Shift enables it to be carried with you without having to make major allowances and looking at the specification of the HTC Shift, we continue to be impressed with its capabilities. For starters you've got 30GB hard drive, built-in Windows Media Player 11, WiFi and Bluetooth Wireless. But here's the really clever bit, the HTC Shift features both Tri Band UMTS and Quad Band GSM with support for HSDPA, as well as GPRS and EDGE respectively and so in theory enabling this device to function literally worldwide. Mind you looking at it logically, there isn't much chance that you are going to use the HTC Shift to make voice calls as it would be a bit on the cumbersome side, however voice calls are possible via a Bluetooth headet so no need to strike that off the list of features. Going strong, the HTC Shift is sure to make a few waves and keep alot of tongues wagging.
