Blackberry 8700v Mobile Phone
The new Blackberry 8700v is the first of RIM's Intel Processor based smart phones and although it may remind you of the now famous 7230 and 7290 the Blackberry 8700g has some fantastic new improvements.
Firstly, the screen has been upgraded to a 320 x 240 pixel, 65,000 colour display which RIM are proud to call 'active matrix transmissive technology'.
Other enhancements include some new PIM options, web browser and support for MP3 and polyphonic ringtones.
The 8700v is ever so slightly lighter than the models before and slightly smaller too and although this doesn't help the phone go faster the new Intel 312MHz PXA901 processor certainly does.
The fact that the Blackberry 8700v doesn't have a built-in digital camera will be music to the ears of most businesses who rely on their workforce using Blackberry devices to communicate whilst off-site.
RIM's push email system which they are renowned for is still as present as ever in this handset plus with the addition of EDGE support gives the Quad Band Blackberry 8700v just about everything you need whilst away from the office.
